The police station was decommissioned and closed in December 2004 pending a decision on its future use. The barrack block was built in 1864, with the other blocks being added between 1910 and 1925. This four-storey complex is in the classical style, with the whole of the front and the main architectural features of the back constructed of cement plaster, while the extension facing Hollywood Road is noted for its brick construction and imposing columns in the entrance hall. (Not open to the public)

港鐵中環站D1出口，沿畢打街步行至雲咸街，右轉入荷李活道經亞畢諾道前往。

中區警署建築群之中，論歷史悠久，要算是建於1864年之宿舍大樓(屬綜合大樓最早落成的部分)了。大樓原高三層，與域多利監獄相鄰，至1905年加建一層。其後，警署逐漸擴建；面向荷李活道的四層高大樓，於1919年加建，1925年又在廣場的西北端增建一所兩層高樓房，作為軍械倉庫。2004年12月，中區警署正式關閉，它與毗鄰的前中央裁判司署及域多利監獄，組成了一組標誌着法律及治安的歷史建築。大樓不對外開放。

Directions:
Central MTR Exit D1, walk up Pedder Street and then up Wyndham Street, following it to the right as it becomes Hollywood Road. The police station is on the left just past Arbuthnot Road.
